When it comes to national dishes in Greece Kokoretsi, Gyro, Moussaka, Magiritsa, Fasolada and Souvlaki are well-liked. Moreover, the favorite sweet is baklava which is a pistachio filled pastry. No doubt Greek food is a full treat. Grilled seafood, Octopus, Meat filled bread, Steaks with mashed potatoes. Yummiest salad known as Horiatiki is full of feta cheese, onions, tomatoes, Avocado, and olive oil.  

Taverna are restaurants in Greece. Usually, Greeks love warm food not too hot. In taverna, meals are prepared in the morning and reheated to server in afternoon. The reason why people like warm food is because hot food cause them to sweat. Moreover, eating warm food is a part of their culture. Typically, dinner starts at sharp 9:00 PM and can last until midnight.

Grandparents live with their Children until they die

Generally, children stay with their family until they marry, and the grandparents live with the family of their children until they die. Only a few retirement homes are there in the country. Generally, they keep the family close.

At Traditional Weddings Everyone Dance and Throw Plates

Do you believe Greeks throw plates at weddings? In Greek culture it is considered a good omen. Throwing plates brings good luck and remove evil spirits. The same thing you notice in the movie “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”.
